2016 USAT National Championships

The 2016 USAT National Championships took place from July 4th to July 10th in Richmond, Virginia. The Team had an outstanding performance in all the youth, cadet, junior, and senior divisions.

 

All of the athletes had a great performance. Brandon F. and Luke M. both made it to the quarterfinals and as a result won a position at the 2016 USA National Team Trials where they will compete for a US Team position against the top 8 ranked fighters in the country for their respective weight divisions. Timothy S. won the SILVER medal in the Junior Male Feather weight division and earned a position for the 2016 Team Trials.

 

Perhaps, the highlight of the event, Benjamin S. and Andrew S. won a Double Crown by both winning the GOLD medal on the same day. Benjamin won in the Senior Male Bantam weight division, and Andrew won in the Senior Male Feather weight division. Together, the brothers make up 25% of the senior male National Champions of 2016, more than any other team in the country.
